The Biggest Lie in Magic (and Life)

“What’s the biggest lie you were ever told?”
He replies,
“It’s not that simple.”
She looks at him and says,
“Why not?”
And he answers:
“No… that’s the biggest lie ever told.”
I used to believe it.
“I can’t do that.”
“You’re going to hurt yourself.”
“You can’t be a full-time magician and have a family.”
Then I stood in front of a 10-foot wall during a Spartan Race…
…and climbed it.
Not perfectly.
Not on the first try.
But I did it.
Here’s the truth:
Show up.
Try.
Fail.
Try again.
Don’t quit.
The real obstacle isn’t the thing.
It’s fear.
Fear of failing.
Fear of judgment.
Fear of “what if…”
But failure isn’t the end.
Quitting is.
I was told I couldn’t climb that wall and do this full-time.
I did and now I am.
Not because it was easy…
but because I stopped believing the lie.
So the next time you hear:
“It’s not that simple…”
Just smile…
and go do it anyway.
