Magic Has No Age Limit

One of the things we really love is getting to bring magic to people who might not normally have the opportunity to go out and see a show.

Over the years, we’ve had the chance to perform at convalescent homes, assisted living communities, senior living facilities, veteran care facilities.

Of course, the residents and patients (and staff) get an afternoon of entertainment. They get to laugh, participate in the magic and spend some time doing something completely different from their normal routine.

But we wanted to find a way to make the experience a little more meaningful.

That's Where Magic University Comes In!

Along with the show, we can bring Magic University to the residents and patients.

After watching Jonathan perform, they get a chance to learn some magic of their own! We teach simple illusions and some fun gags that they can do themselves.

Learning a magic trick means remembering steps, following along, figuring out how something works and practicing until you get it right. Many of the tricks also involve using your hands and fingers, giving participants an opportunity to work on coordination and fine motor skills.

But to us, one of the best parts is what happens after they learn it.

Now they have something they can show someone else.

They can fool another resident. They can show a caregiver or staff member. They can perform it when their kids, grandkids, friends or family come to visit.

Sometimes You Just Need to Feel Like a Kid Again

There is something about magic that brings that out in people.

For an hour, it doesn't matter how old you are. You're laughing and experiencing that little bit of wonder we don't get nearly enough of as adults. And sometimes, you just need to feel like a kid again.

That's really what we hope to bring into these communities and facilities. Yes, we put on a great show! But we also want people to laugh, interact, learn something new and have an experience they can continue talking about after we leave.

Whether we're performing for residents in a senior community or spending an afternoon with veterans, our goal is the same: bring people together, give them something to smile about and leave a little magic behind.

If you're looking for something a little different to bring to your residents or patients Molo Magic offers both magic performances and our interactive Magic University experience for senior communities, care facilities and veterans programs.

We'd love the opportunity to bring a little magic to yours.
