Turning the Page: A Thanksgiving Letter From My Heart

Happy Thanksgiving from the Molo Boys!
Happy Thanksgiving from the Molo Boys!

This year has felt like opening a brand-new chapter in my life — one I never imagined I’d actually get to live.

Earlier this year, I left my job at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin to pursue magic full-time. It was the scariest decision I’ve ever made… and somehow the most natural one. Looking back, I realize I’ve been preparing for that leap for years. If you told 10-year-old me — the shy Filipino kid who fell in love with wonder — that grown-up me would be a professional magician, he would’ve absolutely lost his mind.

Even now, I still wake up surprised and grateful that this is real. That this is my life. That this gift was placed in my hands.

To my magician family — thank you for inspiring me and reminding me every day that this dream wasn’t just possible… it was mine to chase. Your encouragement, your example, and your generosity gave me the courage to step into this new chapter.

To my Magic Castle family — I say this from the heart: performing at the Castle has shaped me in ways I can’t fully express. Sharing my magic in a place where all my heroes once performed has helped me grow not just as a magician, but as a person. Thank you for trusting me with that space and with that responsibility.

To my family and friends — thank you for cheering me on, lifting me up, and loving me through every version of myself. Your support has carried me through every doubt and every jump into the unknown.

To my mom, dad, and sister — thank you for being by my side through every failure, every restart, and every moment of uncertainty. You believed in me even when none of us fully knew what I was jumping into. Your love is one of the foundations of my life.

To Jamie — thank you for loving me, believing in me, and supporting me as I learn, grow, and build this new chapter. You show me every day that I am capable of more than I realize. Your faith in me gives me strength.

To my boys — Sebastian, Lennon, and Asher — you inspire me more than you will ever know. You push me to dream bigger, work harder, and become a better dad and a better human being. Everything I do is to show you what’s possible when you follow your heart.

And finally, to God — thank You for every blessing, every lesson, every opportunity, and every open door. Thank You for the purpose You placed inside me, the people You surrounded me with, and the path You continue to guide me on. You are the most important part of my journey, and I am grateful for Your love, Your grace, and Your faithfulness.

To everyone reading this — if you’ve supported me, encouraged me, come to a show, hired me, messaged me, prayed for me, shared a laugh, or shared a moment of magic with me… thank you. Truly. From my heart.

I’m not grateful just because it’s Thanksgiving.

I’m grateful every single morning I wake up and every night before I go to sleep.

This year has taught me something powerful:

Life becomes brighter when you follow what’s in your heart —and it becomes beautiful when you share the journey with good people.

Thank you for walking with me.

Thank you for being part of my story.

Thank you for helping me become who I’m meant to be.

From my family to yours—Happy Thanksgiving. I love you. And thank you for being here.
