If August had a theme, it would be: “What else could possibly happen?” Spoiler: a lot.
The month kicked off with my family brunch debut at the world-famous Magic Castle. Performing for families in such an iconic space was surreal. I’m grateful to everyone who came out to support and a special shoutout to the woman who keeps the wheels turning behind the scenes: Jamie, my partner in life, love, and logistics. I love you.
No time to soak it in—because right after brunch, we were off to Las Vegas and the Orleans Casino, where the largest magic convention in the world was happening. Imagine thousands of magicians all in one building… It was like Hogwarts, if Hogwarts also had a slot machine problem.
From there, I had the privilege of performing with my magician buddy Scotto for families at Edwards Air Force Base. Thank you to the USO for inviting us. Performing for the families who sacrifice so much for this country was an honor. Respect.
Next up—what a night! I had the honor of joining Ron Saylor and his Celebrities of Magic in Bakersfield, CA. The show sold out, the audience gave me a standing ovation, and I’ll be honest… it felt incredible to bring that kind of joy to a full house. Definitely a career highlight.
And because August wasn’t done showing off, I went straight from that to filming my very first magic pilot in Santa Monica. Getting to work alongside some of my favorite magicians—Jon Armstrong, Joel Ward, and Jeremiah Smith—was both a blast and a crash course in “smile bigger, talk faster, and please don’t knock over the lights.”
As if that wasn’t enough, August ended with one of the most surreal moments of my career: a performance at Arlene and Dick Van Dyke’s house. Yes—that Dick Van Dyke. Sharing magic with such legends was humbling and unforgettable. On the way there, we even ran into NBA legend Pat Riley. Life is funny like that: one minute you’re wondering if you packed enough sponge balls, the next you’re chatting with a Hall of Famer in Malibu.
And of course, in between all that? Private events, multiple Disneyland visits, a Dodgers game, and celebrating Jamie’s 40th birthday with family and friends. August wasn’t just busy it was beautiful.

August reminded me that life is short, unpredictable, and absolutely beautiful when shared with the people you love. From legends to loved ones, from Vegas casinos to Disneyland churros—it’s all magic. And for that, I’m grateful.
